그때부터라는 의미로 자주 사용되는 from that time.

→ since then / ever since

 

ex)

We've been friends from that time.                → We've been friends since then.    /    We've been friends ever since.

 

 

그러나 과거부터 과거까지, 혹은 현재까지도 광범위하게 사용되기도 한다.

그때부터 과거의 어느시점까지라고 표현하고자 할 때는 from then on

 

ex)

A bully pushed me into a locker. So from then on, I decided to start taking boxing classes.

 

‘찾고있어’를 Finding 이라고 하면 틀린 이유

find 동사는 찾았을 때 그 순간을 말한다. 그 순간은 진행형이 될 수 없으므로 진행형으로 말할 때는 be looking for을 사용해야한다.

 

ex)

I'm finding a restaurant.               → I'm looking for a restaurant.

I'm finding my wallet.                  → I'm looking for my wallet.

 

‘저기’를 말할 때 한국인 90%가 실수하는 표현

멀리 있는 곳을 가리킬 때, 저~~~기는 O~~~~ver there이 아니다. way만 붙이면 된다.
