한국말로 '~하면'이라고 번역되서 많은 분들이 확실한 상황에서도 많이 사용하시더라구요. 그런데 If에는 그렇게 되지 않을 가능성이 들어있어요. 그래서 잘못 사용하면 상대방이 이해 하기 힘들 수 있답니다!

 

If 에는 '못 할 수도 있다.' 라는 의미가 있다. 

때문에 확실한 상황에서 If는 어색하다. If 대신 when을 사용하는 것이 좋다.

 

I'll call you when i get home.

Call me in the morning when you wake up.

I'll get you a present when you have a birthday.
